Rimu Playcircle

Welcome to Rimu Playcircle and the Waikato Rudolf Steiner Early Childhood Community

Waldorf/Steiner playcircles work from the developmental principle that young children learn through imitation, active exploration, and play.

Our play circles are designed to provide young children with opportunities to explore the world outside their home and familiar environments, together with their parents.

During the first period of life young children are constantly physically active. We prefer to work with, rather than try to work against the child’s will; seeing the child as an “adventurer and an explorer” and providing experiences for them to learn and develop naturally and therefore with ease and pleasure.
